Our technical department develops custom packaging solutions tailored to the specific requirements of each client. We start with a detailed analysis of the specifications to define the necessary protections against shocks, vibrations, and humidity.

Depending on the complexity of the project, we use 3D modeling tools to design optimized prototypes. Our packaging is tested to ensure its performance and meets quality standards. In addition, we prioritize eco-friendly materials and optimize our designs to minimize our environmental impact.

This approach allows us to meet your protection, transport, and storage needs while reducing your carbon footprint with eco-designed solutions.

Research & development

NO-NAIL BOXES continuously invests in Research and Development to design packaging solutions that combine performance and environmental respect.

Our technical team focuses on material optimization, aiming to reduce the weight of the boxes, decrease the use of non-recyclable foam, and explore innovative new materials. Our goal is to create robust technical packaging that minimizes environmental impact without compromising quality.

Every day, we help our clients identify potential savings and improve their carbon footprint while ensuring maximum efficiency in the transport and protection of their products.

PRINTING TECHNIQUES
NO-NAIL BOXES offers several printing techniques to adapt your folding boxes to the image of your company, helping to enhance your visibility and communicate effectively with custom designs.
  • FLEXOGRAPHY

Flexography is the most commonly used printing technique at NO-NAIL BOXES, allowing the production of several thousand panels per day

It is based on flexible photopolymer plates fixed on a cylinder that applies ink to the plywood with great precision. This method offers extensive customization with all Pantone colors, different fonts, and gradients. It is ideal for medium and large runs, on panels from 4 to 12 mm thick, with maximum dimensions of 2,440 x 1,200 mm.

  • SCREEN PRINTING

Inkjet and digital printing are ideal for small runs, offering high quality and precision.

Similar to stenciling, it involves using a screen with fine mesh fabric, where only the areas corresponding to the design remain open. Ink is applied by passing it through the mesh with a squeegee. This method offers the same properties as flexography while being ideal for painted surfaces and large formats.

  • INKJET AND DIGITAL PRINTING

Inkjet and digital printing are ideal for small runs, offering high quality and precision.

NO-NAIL BOXES’ inkjet printer uses liquid ink for high-resolution black prints, perfect for complex designs like barcodes and QR codes. This fast technique is recommended for runs of up to 500 pieces and adapts to different panel thicknesses.

Digital printing, on the other hand, allows for direct printing from digital files, offering greater flexibility and speed. It is ideal for small and medium runs and allows each plywood panel to be customized with complex designs or photos. Suitable for print areas smaller than 2,500 x 1,250 mm, it guarantees a high-quality result, resistant to abrasion, water, and light.

  • PAD PRINTING AND STENCILING

Pad printing and stenciling are efficient and versatile printing methods.

Pad printing, done manually at NO-NAIL BOXES, uses a pad to transfer an engraved image to a surface. It is an economical solution, capable of reproducing designs in color or not, even on irregular surfaces, ideal for markings such as the ISPM 15 logo.

Stenciling allows for reproducing simple designs by applying ink through a cut-out cardboard template. This technique is suitable for small runs and can be used on already assembled boxes or plywood panels. It is limited to simple designs with a restricted color palette (black, red, blue, and green).

CLOSURE SYSTEMS
NO-NAIL BOXES wooden boxes can be equipped with closure systems to ensure both the security of your products and the possibility of reusing the boxes for your future needs. Our closure solutions are designed to adapt to different types of applications, providing optimal protection for all your shipments, from the lightest to the most fragile.
  • LATCH

The “hinged latch” system is one of the most robust and versatile closure systems for wooden boxes. Designed for frequent use, it withstands vibrations, shocks, and handling, ensuring optimal protection of the goods. Different latch models are available in stock.

  • VELCRO

Although light and flexible, Velcro provides a sufficiently strong closure to keep the box closed even during transport. This type of closure is ideal for situations where quick and repeated handling is necessary, while ensuring product security.

CUSHIONING SYSTEMS
We offer cushioning solutions that effectively complement the packaging of your products. The main role of cushioning is to protect your goods against shocks and vibrations during transport. It also helps to keep the item in place in the box, preventing any movement that could damage its integrity.
  • WOODEN CUSHIONING

Ideal for heavy and bulky products, wooden cushioning offers excellent stability and protection against shocks and vibrations, while also providing thermal insulation.

  • FOAM CUSHIONING

For sensitive and fragile products, we offer protective foam cushioning solutions that are used in the form of custom-cut frames, assembled by our suppliers, or in foam blocks carefully glued on-site in our workshops.

HANDLING ACCESSORIES
When boxes are filled, their weight or bulk can make handling difficult for the operator, especially when the use of a pallet truck is not possible. To facilitate this task, NO-NAIL BOXES offers folding plywood boxes with ergonomic handles and other accessories specially designed for manual handling.
  • METAL HANDLE

The metal handle is a robust and durable accessory, specially designed for wooden boxes that require frequent handling or contain heavy objects.

It provides excellent grip, allowing operators to handle the box confidently and without slipping. The robustness of the metal ensures that the handle remains functional and effective even after many uses.

  • SOFT FABRIC HANDLE

The soft fabric handle is directly attached to the box with rivets, offering a light and comfortable solution for manual handling.

Unlike rigid handles, the fabric handle is soft and ergonomic, reducing handling fatigue and the risk of injury for the operator.

  • HAND GRIP HOLE

The opening is cut directly into the side of the box, allowing the hand to slide in for an easy grip.

Being directly integrated into the box, it adds no additional thickness or bulk, making it ideal for stacked or stored boxes. The hand grip hole is a simple and cost-effective option to facilitate handling.
