Solid wood, plywood, steel, MDF, OSB… each material is carefully chosen to meet one clear objective: ensuring the strength, durability, and adaptability of our wooden packaging to suit our customers’ requirements.

Plywood – the backbone of our foldable boxes

Plywood is the iconic material of our production. Depending on the intended use, we select different wood species for our custom plywood boxes, each with its own specific properties. 100% eucalyptus is known for its natural strength, birch offers a refined finish and excellent stability, while pine-eucalyptus provides a good balance between lightness and resistance. Pine is often preferred for standard pallet boxes, as a more economical option.

The choice depends on the type of product to be protected, its weight, the transport method (air, sea, road), and the client’s logistical constraints.

MDF and OSB – technical alternatives

For specific projects, we also use MDF (medium-density fibreboard) or OSB (oriented strand board). These materials offer smooth surfaces, good durability over time, and can help reduce costs. They are often used for custom wooden transport boxes, especially for internal components or short-term needs.

Solid wood – at the core of the structure

Solid wood is ever-present in our workshops. It forms the pallets, the frames of certain custom wooden boxes like the CLIP BOX, the lids of pallet boxes, and also the internal supports. This robust material allows us to design returnable wooden boxes tailored to each product, providing optimal protection throughout the logistics chain.

Steel – for enhanced strength

Where mechanical strength is essential, we integrate steel. It is used in assembly systems (grip plugs), securing bands on ISIBOX and RIBOX models, or the metallic reinforcements on wooden boxes with lids like the ISIBOX 66. On our EXBOX, a plywood box designed for single use, steel ensures cohesion and stability of the packaging even during the most demanding transports.

A rigorous selection, a sustainable commitment

All our materials are carefully selected by our purchasing department. We take into account their technical performance, origin, environmental impact, and the reliability of our suppliers. This commitment enables us to offer high-value wooden transport boxes, produced sustainably and compliant with standards such as ISPM 15.
